In 2004 Huntsman collaborated with Alexander McQueen on a bespoke capsule collection. McQueen, a Huntsman patron himself, wanted to work with the finest tailor on Savile Row, which is why he turned to Huntsman.
From McQueen’s personal commissions this striking double-breasted, houndstooth suit.
It was Huntsman’s owner, Pierre Lagrange who tasked himself with bringing this garment of significant sartorial value back into the archive at 11 Savile Row.
“ In celebration of a magnificent individual and a true craftsman, we are honored and privileged to have been given the opportunity to purchase Lee Alexander McQueen’s personal Huntsman suit. It will feature prominently in the Huntsman archives, in remembrance of the unique relationship Huntsman and McQueen held.”
The suit was purchased by Huntsman after a fierce bidding battle, at a record price of £3,700 pounds.
