Huntsman x Be Cool Be Nice

On Monday 11th December 2017, Huntsman hosted a soirée in celebration of the wonderful organisation that is Be Cool Be Nice.

Being Nice Is Cool

Huntsman proved that there’s no room for unkindness in the sartorial world earlier this week, when the house hosted an event at its Savile Row headquarters in support of Be Cool Be Nice, the anti-bullying movement. The movement’s aim is to advocate kindness, good manners, and civility, alongside encouraging positive interactions on social media. Pierre Lagrange, Wendy Knatchbull, Daisy Knatchbull and Ebs Burnough With the Be Cool Be Nice book published in October – described as “a starter pack for a positive online life” – the Be Cool Be Nice movement launched with a slew of designers and celebrities celebrating and promoting the cause. Alongside names such as Marc Newson, Lenny Kravitz, Marc Jacobs, and Alber Elbaz, Huntsman has designed a teddy, which wears the house’s country tweeds and a flat cap. “Huntsman are pleased to support BCBN's action against bullying,” said Huntsman’s chairman Pierre Lagrange. “Whether it is in enterprise, at home or at school, there is no room for bullying practices and negative energy. We are eager to encourage positive behaviour, and nothing beats that message coming from creative leaders and influencers who are listened to by young people.” The party, meanwhile, was a multi-generational affair. A group of 30 children aged between 10 and 12 were entertained upstairs in the Savile Row space by party organizers Sharky & George, who devised a series of Be Cool Be Nice games - that illustrated just how easily bullying can happen, all while keeping the mood fun. In between games, the children nibbled on cakes and Be Cool Be Nice biscuits, while a caricaturist sketched their likenesses.
