For generations, the finest sporting clothes have been defined by their ability to meet the practical demands of the field without sacrificing elegance. For Autumn/Winter 2026, Huntsman continues this tradition with a new shooting collection created under the direction of Head Cutter and Creative Director Campbell Carey.
Comprising a Field Coat, Shooting Vest and Breeks, the collection brings the precision and refinement of Huntsman tailoring to garments engineered for the realities of the British sporting season. Each piece has been designed to perform independently or as part of a complete shooting wardrobe, offering protection, comfort and freedom of movement in the field.

An Exclusive Huntsman Tweed
At the heart of the collection is a new tweed designed by Campbell Carey and woven exclusively for Huntsman in Scotland.
Developed specifically for sporting use, the cloth retains the character, handle and natural beauty of traditional Scottish tweed while introducing a new level of performance. A Teflon® finish provides water resistance, helping to protect the wearer from changeable conditions without compromising the appearance or tactile quality of the cloth. The result is a tweed that feels entirely at home in the landscape, yet has been developed to meet the expectations of the modern sportsman.
“At Huntsman, we believe sporting attire should never be a compromise between elegance and performance. Every detail of this collection has been considered from the perspective of someone who understands both tailoring and the practical demands of a day in the field.”

The Field Coat
The centrepiece of the collection is the Field Coat, an accomplished expression of traditional sporting style and technical construction.
Beneath the exclusive tweed outer sits a waterproof membrane, positioned above a quilted lining to provide exceptional protection from wet and cold weather while preserving warmth and breathability. A concealed front zip and buttoned storm placket offer further defence against wind and rain, while a stand collar with a fastening tab provides additional coverage when conditions turn.
Every detail has been considered in relation to how the coat will be worn and used. Generous bellows pockets provide ample space for cartridges and field essentials, with an ingenious retaining tab designed to hold each pocket flap open for quick, unhindered access. Fleece-lined stroller pockets offer welcome warmth on colder days, while the remaining pockets are quilt-lined for additional insulation.
An internal drawcord allows the waist to be adjusted easily, giving the wearer greater control over the fit and silhouette. Storage is completed by a zipped external poacher’s pocket and two internal zipped security pockets, providing ample space without disrupting the clean lines of the coat.
Perhaps the most distinctive innovation is Huntsman’s hinged sleeve construction. Developed to allow unrestricted movement through the shooting mount, it provides the mobility required in the field while preserving the balance and elegance of the coat when the wearer is at rest.
Shooting Breeks
Cut from the same exclusive Scottish tweed, the Shooting Breeks combine the familiar details of traditional sporting dress with thoughtful contemporary practicality.
They are fully lined for warmth and comfort, with suede-trimmed pocket openings adding both durability and refinement. Belt loops and brace buttons allow the breeks to be worn according to personal preference, while a rear hip pocket provides practical storage. Adjustable Velcro ankle fastenings ensure a secure and comfortable fit with shooting socks and boots.
The Shooting Vest
Completing the collection is the Shooting Vest, a versatile layer designed to be worn throughout the sporting season.
Tailored from the matching water-resistant tweed, it features a classic buttoned front and generous suede-trimmed bellows pockets. Suede gun patches are positioned on both shoulders, making the vest equally suited to left- and right-handed shooters, while internal recoil pad pockets provide the option of additional protection.
An adjustable half-belt at the back allows the fit to be refined to the individual wearer, balancing comfort and movement with a clean, tailored silhouette.

Tradition, Considered Anew
The Autumn/Winter 2026 Shooting Collection reflects Huntsman’s belief that true luxury is found not only in how a garment is made, but in how beautifully it performs.
From the development of an exclusive Scottish tweed to the engineering of the hinged sleeve, each element has been shaped by an understanding of both tailoring and the sporting field. The result is a collection grounded in British tradition, yet made with the comfort, protection and freedom required by the modern sportsman.
“We developed our own exclusive tweed to achieve exactly the character we wanted, then engineered each garment to offer greater freedom of movement, protection from the weather and lasting comfort. The result is a collection that honours the traditions of British shooting while reflecting the standards of craftsmanship and innovation that define Huntsman today.”
