Huntsman Autumn-Winter Ready-to-Wear Collection
In The Fashion of Nature and Timelessly Tailored Elegance
For Autumn-Winter 2023, we launch our most comprehensive Ready-to-Wear Collection to date. A stunning ensemble wardrobe inspired by the beauty of changing seasons, with new exclusive cloth designs in exquisitely tailored garments, which pay homage to the house's rich sartorial heritage, reinterpreted for the modern gentleman. Designed to evoke the rich hues of autumn, the collection pays homage to the transformative landscapes through a blend of exquisite craftsmanship and innovative design.
The heart of the collection is inspired by the rhythms of nature. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant colour shifts of a Sloe bush, Huntsman’s Head & Cutter & Creative Director Campbell Carey was inspired by his morning walks in Alexandra Palace, igniting a visual narrative that captures the essence of autumn's transitions in luxurious tailoring. The collection's signature colour contrasts and dramatic palette changes are a reflection of this inspiration.
Photographed against the backdrop of Campbell's native Scotland, the collection encapsulates the rugged beauty of the countryside, translating it into garments that embody the season's vibrancy. Our friends and partners at The House Of Hazelwood very kindly provided the location for the timelessly elegant interiors and breathtaking exterior setting for this campaign.
The collection tells a story of transition, of evolution but with themes of timelessness, so synonymous with this British tailoring institution. With designs that seamlessly transition from the urban to the pastoral, the Huntsman AW23 Collection invites individuals to embrace a style that effortlessly reflects the evolving seasons.
This season is all about combining exclusivity with luxury, trademarks of Huntsman tailoring; new technical showerproof fabrics have been paired with heritage West Of England flannel in classic outerwear styles, for two signature reversible raincoats.
The collection also features exclusive cashmere designs for sports coats. Huntsman has collaborated with Joshua Ellis to create the exclusive two cashmeres which are part of several exclusive Huntsman cloths in our ready-to-wear collection. This cashmere is ‘KD’ finished; a decatising process in which the cashmere fibre is soaked for twice as long as regular cashmere.
You'll find statement suiting in a chalk stripe three piece, inspired by a bespoke suit from the Huntsman archive, and its more contemporary counterpart; a glen check two piece, both cut in the signature Huntsman one-button house style.
Crowing the collection, Huntsman house cashmere is used to create a sumptuous raglan sleeve overcoat. This striking 100% wool balmacaan overcoat comes in an iconic raglan sleeve design, making it easy to layer over sports coats and jackets. For greater warmth and comfort the coat features a storm collar and deep stroller pockets.
A Huntsman first; two styles of Harrington jacket, one in a classic tweed, the other in a sumptuously soft Loro Piana cashmere, perfect for the at-leisure Huntsman. These shorter, more casual style coats are robust enough to team with only a knitwear or corduroy shirt, ideal for the fluctuating temperatures of the transitional autumn months.
Of course, a comprehensive Autumn-Winter offering wouldn't be complete without show-stopping evening wear. This season with sophisticated dinner jackets and the new addition of a green velvet 'cocktail' jacket. Quite distinct from a smoking jacket or dinner jacket, the Huntsman cocktail jacket might become your new favourite formal wear garment. For those occasions before dinner, and perhaps even in lieu of; when the dress code demands evening attire, but tasteful interpretations on the theme are permitted. This cocktail jacket pairs perfectly with dress trousers, or tartan trews, and a classic white dinner shirt and bow tie.
As with all ready-to-wear garments, our new collection is available as part of our made-to-order service, bringing you even more versatility and personalisation.
