Crafted for performance and polish, Huntsman's new Shooting Wear Collection brings heritage field attire into a new era of refinement. At its core is the exclusive Bealach Tweed, developed by Creative Director Campbell Carey and inspired by the immense palette of the Bealach Na Bà in the Scottish Highlands. Robust and weather-ready, the cloth is designed to handle the demands of the countryside while maintaining the elegance of Savile Row tailoring.
The Shooting Suit
The collection features a tailored shooting coat with bellows pockets, a three-roll-two button closure, and a half-belted back which combines technical functionality with a sharp, sophisticated silhouette. It is complemented by matching breeks, cut for freedom of movement, and a quilted vest with Alcantara shoulder patches and discreet recoil pad pockets. Each piece is tailored with purpose and finished with the signature precision that defines Huntsman.
The Bealach Tweed
This field sports Collection is inspired by the Bealach Na Bà, a mountain pass on the Applecross peninsula in the Scottish Highlands. The breathtaking and ominous rock face that surrounds you as you climb this pass is made from Gneiss, a wonderful, rich and textured grey and black rock, the oldest on the planet at over 3 billion years old. The contrast of vivid green grass and moss amongst the rock face makes this place all the more dramatic. The Bealach cloth has a predominantly grey base, lending itself to a shooting event anywhere in the UK. With the eye of a tailor and the heart of a Scot, Carey looked to this immense landscape to inform this exclusive tweed design. The result is a cloth that captures the spirit of Scotland. A spirit that is wild, resilient, and deeply connected to its natural surroundings.
Off The Field
To complete the look, Huntsman introduces a Brown Tweed Suit, offering a refined option for town or country wear. Fully canvassed and hand-finished throughout, it brings the spirit of fieldwear into formal dressing. Layer beneath with Huntsman's latest John Smedley knitwear: a capsule of ribbed merino and cashmere blend zip-front jumpers, designed for comfort, warmth, and understated elegance. Together, these garments form a modern field wardrobe, sartorial, considered, and built to perform in any setting.
