The Huntsman Autumn Winter 2021 Collection

The Huntsman Autumn Winter 2021 Ready To Wear Collection

“This collection boasts versatility with luxury garments for both town and country, for formal and casual events. Having taken inspiration from our archives and reimagined them for today, each garment has been designed to become a wardrobe staple, to be enjoyed for years to come” - Campbell Carey

This season Creative Director Campbell Carey has worked to create a capsule collection for the most sartorially discerning gentleman's wardrobe, and outfits for all occasions. For town and country, business and leisure this collection embodies the spirit of returning to a pre-pandemic way of life. Embracing a sense of opportunity and new enterprise, Huntsman presents has a collection that allows you to welcome the world with sophistication and sartorial excellence.

Cut, cloth and construction remain the ethos of our Ready To Wear collection. This season statement tweeds feature alongside classic herringbone sport coats, and rich, sumptuous textures in corduroy trousers, cashmerillo shirts and merino knitwear. With new styles of outerwear that combine the practicality and durability of technical fabrics with classic silhouettes, and suiting and jackets which support sustainable practice, and are ideal for business travel.

You’ll find inspiration from our past with heritage tweeds, reinvigorated and reimagined for the contemporary gentleman, and a salute to the great Colin Hammick, in a statement double-breasted tuxedo, which crowns the collection.

And due to popular demand, The Weekend Cut is back in a sumptuously inky grey cashmere.

Stylish Performance Outerwear

The Storm System Overcoat takes the same block as our classic overcoat but has been enhanced with the Loro Piana Storm System cloth. Embrace the elements with confidence as you weather any storm in sophisticated style. This cloth is treated, impregnating the fibres, creating a protective membrane from rain, dirt, and stains.

A great option for the busy commuter, this coat comes in a  heavy, napped, twill weave, double cloth, known as ‘beaver cloth’ or ‘beaver finished’. This style of cloth is designed to look better with wear, so it will age beautifully.

The Raglan Sleeve Trench Coat

In an entirely new design for our Autumn Winter 2021 collection, Huntsman Creative Director took inspiration from our popular raglan sleeve overcoat and classic mac and combined them with his own favourite vintage trench coat. The result, a striking waxed raglan sleeve trench coat, in a Blackwatch tartan.

Made with British Millerain, the original and world leader in waxed fabrics, this coat is made with British-made waxed cotton, assuring quality and comfort against the elements. It’s a garment suitable for work and for leisure, easy to dress up and down.

The Weekend Cut

Back by popular demand, the Weekend Cut takes on another iteration in its third official season. An entirely new style for Huntsman, defined by Campbell Carey, The Weekend Cut is available in both bespoke commission and our Ready To Wear collection.

This season we have a signature inky grey ticking cashmere jacket.  The Weekend Cut has a softer shoulder line with thinner padding and a slightly less roped sleeve head. By removing the horsehair canvas and doubling up on the body canvas, we have retained a flattering chest line but introduced a softer drape to the cloth. It’s a jacket that is truly as comfortable as your favourite cardigan but has all of the style and structural integrity as a classic sports coat.

From Sheep To Shop: Escorial

This season we have created suiting and separates with an ethos of sustainable practices for our pret-a-porter collection.  Both a french navy herringbone sports coat and navy suit are made with escorial wool, which has full traceability, from sheep to shop.  The Escorial name and trademark stands for sustainability and authenticity, a guarantee that a fabric or garment carrying the Escorial name is traceable to origin is naturally grown and comes from a quality-controlled source of supply of integrity and provenance.

The Navy Crispaire Travel Suit

As international business travel returns, we had to include an elegant travel suit in the collection and this one is an all-rounder. The crispaire fabric has a firm, round and crisp handle making it the ideal choice for a durable travel suit.

The full-bodied crimp of the merino wool has exceptional recovery properties, which produces a high-performance, crease-resistant cloth. Crispaire fabrics are renowned for retaining their smooth finish and smart stylish appearance, which make them ideal for regular and prolonged wear.

Archive Tweeds

This statement jacket is versatile enough to wear in town and country.  You’ll find it looks as elegant paired with your favourite cotton trousers, corduroy or flannel. Inspired by a garment in the Huntsman bespoke archive, the original archive tweed had been on display and much admired by clients visiting 11 Savile Row, and so now has been reimagined for our Ready To Wear offering.  From the vintage tweed shooting jacket, Huntsman Creative Director Campbell Carey has worked to refine a contemporary style as well as developing a new tweed for its modern counterpart, inspired closely by the original.

You’ll also find in our campaign a striking double-breasted overcoat, which is available by bespoke commission. This again was inspired by a tweed overcoat from 1950 and for this contemporary interpretation retains that striking double-breasted peak lapel.

The Hammick Tuxedo

For truly stand-out eveningwear, look no further than this double-breasted, peak lapel tuxedo. The offset V-shaped lapel on this tuxedo is a signature Huntsman style for peak lapel jackets, used on both single and double-breasted garments. It was a style originally cut and defined by Colin Hammick during his time as Head Cutter at Huntsman.

Ordinarily the V of a peak lands in the middle of the lapel however the offset V on this makes the collar above it more substantial with a more vertical leaf edge, thus cheating the eye and creating the perfect balance of dramatic lapel and heightened upper body.
