A Cologne for The Modern Gentleman
For more than 175 years, the work of this house has been concerned with how a man carries himself. Just a short walk away on St. James's Street, Truefitt & Hill, the oldest male grooming house in the world, has spent over two centuries attending to how he presents himself. It seemed only natural that the two should one day meet. We introduce the Huntsman Cologne, created in collaboration with Truefitt & Hill.

The Partnership
Savile Row and St. James's Street sit within the same small corner of London, one that has shaped British dress for generations. Between them, the two houses represent almost four centuries of unbroken craft, and a common set of principles: precision, restraint, and a quiet confidence that has no need to raise its voice.
Truefitt & Hill has served nine reigning monarchs, earned a mention from Charles Dickens in The Uncommercial Traveller, and counted Sir Winston Churchill, John Wayne and Frank Sinatra among its clients. It is a house that understands grooming as a form of self-respect. At Huntsman, we express the same idea through the cut of a coat and the line of a trouser. The cologne is where those two disciplines meet.

The Cologne
A bespoke suit begins as a series of small decisions: the weight of the cloth, the tension of a seam, the angle of a lapel. On their own, none of them is noticed. Together, they produce something that feels, to the man wearing it, as though it could never have been otherwise.
A fine fragrance is composed in much the same way. Top, heart and base each have their own part to play, and what stays on the skin is not any one ingredient but the balance between them. The Huntsman Cologne takes its cue from the atmosphere of our flagship at 11 Savile Row, the cutting room, the fitting rooms, the particular stillness of an address with a long history, and was formulated by Truefitt & Hill's perfumers to capture something of both houses.

Fragrance Notes
The cologne opens with bergamot, cardamom, pink pepper, saffron, lemon and elemi: fresh and assured, bright without tipping into sharpness. At its heart sit damask rose and tobacco absolute, supported by violet leaf and petitgrain, floral elegance set against smoky depth, a pairing that feels unexpected at first and entirely right soon after. The base of vanilla pod, guaiac wood, tonka bean and cedarwood brings a warmth closer to a well-worn leather armchair, and lingers long after the first impression.
Top: Bergamot, Cardamom, Pink Pepper, Saffron, Lemon, Elemi
Heart: Damask Rose, Tobacco Absolute, Violet Leaf, Petitgrain
Base: Vanilla Pod, Guaiac Wood, Tonka Bean, Cedarwood
Floral, tobacco, amber and woody in character, it is a scent for the man who dresses with intention, who knows that style is built from considered details, and who wears a fragrance the way he would a well-cut suit: for himself, and no one else.
