What Sets Us Apart

Commissioning a bespoke garment is like commissioning a portrait - an art form that begins with up to 28 measurements, translated into a unique paper pattern drafted exclusively for you. Up to 80 hours of handwork by Savile Row's most skilled cutters and tailors shape every garment. From drafting to hand-stitching and finishing, each piece is built around the individual. No two bodies are the same, and no two Huntsman garments ever are either.

Every commission involves a minimum of three fittings. The details are entirely yours - the lining, the cuff, the cloth. A Huntsman garment is still being worn and enjoyed 20 years after it was made. That is what bespoke means.

OUR PROCESS

"I create clothes for every kind of woman because bespoke tailoring is for every kind of woman. You can feel both beautiful and powerful, you don't need to compromise."

- Magdalena Handwerker, Head Ladieswear Cutter

Why Choose Bespoke?

Every ready-to-wear and made-to-measure garment begins with a standard pattern - one that can never truly accommodate the individual form.

Bespoke begins differently. At Huntsman, your pattern is drafted from your measurements alone, every detail decided together, every stitch placed by hand. It is the most complete form of tailoring there is, and the most personal. Bespoke at Huntsman starts from £7,000. The difference is felt from the first wearing.

"We call it the art of bespoke, because commissioning a bespoke garment is not unlike commissioning a portrait. It's a physical representation of who you are; it's our job to make you look your very best."

-Campbell Carey, Huntsman Head Cutter

House Style

Every great bespoke house has a signature style. Huntsman is renowned for the single-button silhouette - one of the most complex cuts to execute, and one of the most flattering to wear. It is the look that has always set us apart. Today we can make any garment, from the classic to the conceptual, but our house cut remains the one on which we stake our name.

  • The House Cut

The iconic Huntsman Cut was first devised by Colin Hammick - legendary Head Cutter, Creative Director and arbiter of taste in the second half of the 20th century.

Drawing from our equestrian heritage, his masterstroke was to refine the classic hacking jacket into a quintessentially British look unique to Huntsman. Hammick elevated the waisted silhouette, high armhole and longer flared skirt of the hacking jacket, blending it with the elegance of the single-button dinner jacket.

The result is a coat with firm shoulders, a naturally structured chest and clean lines that complement every figure.

Quintessentially British in conception, the style became an instant favourite of Hollywood's leading lights. Gregory Peck, Paul Newman and Frank Sinatra all adopted the Huntsman Cut - and made it a success.

  • The Weekend Cut

The Weekend Cut was created by Huntsman Head Cutter and Creative Director Campbell Carey. Sharing the same single-button house style, it brings the construction and integrity of a traditional bespoke blazer, with a fit and feel as comfortable as your favourite cardigan.

It is the iconic Huntsman Cut reimagined for the weekend, a silhouette that unlocks a whole new wardrobe. Bespoke tailoring in its most relaxed form, without compromising style or execution.

The details are considered throughout. A softer shoulder line with thinner padding allows the cloth to drape naturally against the body whilst retaining its shape. Minimal lining and reduced padding in the sleeves ease movement and reduce weight. The result is a supremely versatile off-duty jacket,  relaxed, comfortable and unequivocally Huntsman.
